WITH 37 NEW CAIO APACHE VIP BUSES, BAURU GETS EVEN BETTER QUALITY PUBLIC TRANSPORTATION

2024-08-19 With the arrival of 37 new Apache Vip buses from Caio, Greater Bauru, in the interior of the state of São Paulo, is getting better quality public transportation.

Transporte Coletivo Grande Bauru has acquired these new Apache Vip Caio buses, in their fifth version, with Mercedes-Benz chassis and Euro VI engines, which reduce the emission of pollutants into the atmosphere by about 75%.

The new Apache Vip units are intended to renew the fleet, which goes to show how important citizens are to Transporte Coletivo Grande Bauru. Offering quality, comfortable and low-carbon transportation guarantees greater health and well-being for all the city`s residents.

Sacomani, Caio`s representative, considers that the most important aspect of the relationship between Transporte Coletivo Grande Bauru and Caio is the “long-standing partnership, which proves the quality of Caio buses, allowing for a long commercial relationship between the two companies”.

About the buses

Apache Vip V with Mercedes-Benz 12.7-meter chassis

The models are 12.7 meters long, have a total capacity of 83 passengers and are built on OF-1721/59 chassis.

Each unit is equipped with a semi-automatic elevator in the central door, on the right-hand side of the body; reserved seats for people with disabilities (PwD), reduced mobility and the elderly; and an exclusive area for wheelchair users or people with visual impairments, accompanied by a guide dog, with a three-point seat belt, providing 100% safe accessibility during transportation.

The units also have electromechanical turnstiles and validators to speed up the process of boarding and disembarking passengers. All the buses have an electronic LED itinerary on the front.













Apache Vip V with Mercedes-Benz 11.3-meter chassis

The models are 11.3 meters long, have a total capacity of 69 passengers and are built on OF-1619/52 chassis.

Each unit is equipped with a semi-automatic elevator in the central door, on the right-hand side of the body; reserved seats for people with disabilities (PwD), reduced mobility and the elderly; and an exclusive area for wheelchair users or people with visual impairments, accompanied by a guide dog, with a three-point seat belt, providing 100% safe accessibility during transportation.
