VIAÇÃO MIRACATIBA RENEWED ITS FLEET WITH THIRTY ADDITIONAL APACHE VIP CAIO UNITS
2024-08-27Viação Miracatiba, traditional client of Caio, invested in the purchase of thirty additional fifth-generation Apache Vip model units. The buses will operate in the city of Itapecerica da Serra, located in the Metropolitan Region of São Paulo.
With approximately 178 thousand inhabitants, the ‘paulista’ city stands out especially in the tourism sector due to its subtropical climate and natural landscapes.
Gildo Rego Vendramini, sales representative of Caio in the São Paulo region, emphasizes the relevance of this fleet renewal for the brand. “For Caio, it is gratifying to be part of yet another fleet renewal in the public transport of Itapecerica da Serra. This synergy between Caio and Viação Miracatiba confirms the importance of providing comfort and safety to the passengers.”
About Apache Vip
All the fifth-generation buses are 13.200 m long and their body was mounted on a Mercedes-Benz OF-1726 L/59 chassis, with Euro VI technology, adopted in the country to reduce the emission of pollutants.
The vehicles are also provided with billing equipment, such as electromechanical turnstiles and ticket validators, in addition to other onboard technologies, such as reverse gear alarm, LED lights into the passenger compartment, USB ports, multiplex system, and preparation for micro cameras.
For a more accessible transport, the buses are equipped with reserved and adapted seats, in addition to a space reserved for people with disabilities (PcDs), such as box for wheelchair user with three-point seatbelt.
Particularities
The buses have some specific characteristics in the number of doors and itinerary displays. From the thirty Apache Vip models, twenty-two units are provided with three bellows-type doors on the right side of the body, and eight units provide five doors on both sides (left and right). All the doors are of bellows-type with electropneumatic actuation to prevent unexpected opening during the ride.
5-door vehicles also have five itinerary displays, while the 3-door ones have four itinerary displays. All of them have been strategically installed on the outer part of the bodies, thus facilitating the view of bus lines when the passengers are boarding.
