Pan American Games 2019 will feature 200 Caio Apache Vip units.

2019-06-05 The city of Lima, the capital and largest city of Peru with 9.2 million inhabitants is receiving 200 units of the Apache Vip urban bus from Caio Induscar.

The vehicles were acquired by Divemotor, a local Mercedes-Benz dealership, and will be subleased to meet passenger demand during the Pan American Games, which take place between July 26 and August 11 in Lima. According to organizers, an estimated 175,000 tourists and 6,690 athletes from 41 countries are expected to be traveling through the city during the 17-day competition. After the event, the Apache Vip will be sold and operated by local public transport companies.

About the Apache VIP model

The units have an electronic itinerary and internal LED lighting, ergonomic semi-upholstered seats and two pneumatically operated doors, with front access. The acquired model has the capacity to accommodate 90 passengers, being 52 seated and 37 standing.
