CAIO SUPPORTS HOSPITAL DE AMOR IN BARRETOS AND PARTICIPATES IN THE ANNUAL EVENT FOR PARTNERS

2024-09-19 Always committed to social responsibility and to benefit the community, Caio sponsors, via Federal Law for Incentive to Pronon (National Oncological Attention Program), Hospital de Amor, a renowned oncological institute, located in the city of Barretos (SP), which attends the population free of charge throughout Brazil.
Once a year, an Accountability Meeting is held to present the challenges and advances in infrastructure and cancer treatments achieved over the year. Caio attended the 3rd edition of the event, which was held on September 9th, at the hospital premises, covering the 2023 accounts.
Supporters, donors and the hospital team participated in the ceremony, and attended workshops, where they had the opportunity to choose one of the hospital`s sections to know and understand the extent of the philanthropic, specialized, technological (telemedicine) and humanized care offered by the institute in the cancer prevention, rehabilitation and research areas. After the visit, all supporting companies received, as a form of gratitude, a certificate of “friendly company” of the hospital and a miniature of the prevention truck (mobile unit) that travels throughout the country, contributing to performing exams, such as ultrasound, prostate, skin cancer evaluation, mammogram and Pap smear.
Henrique Prata, Chairman of Hospital de Amor for almost 35 years, highlights the social impact of the institution and the importance of the hospital`s sponsors: “We stopped being a local hospital in Barretos to become a Brazil-wide hospital. Our growth does not stop, with tens of treatment and prevention units spread across the country, in addition 50+ trucks that provide early diagnosis of cancer to those who need it most. In the recent years, our support has been guaranteed by the strength of a conscious and supportive society.”
Each year, with the increase in the number of services, donations become even more crucial, as the institution follows the philosophy of 100% free service. For example, in 2023 Hospital de Amor attended approximately 570,000 individuals and expanded its reach to more than 2,580 municipalities. This success also results from the collaboration between the institution and its partners.
