Caio is part of the solution in benefit of biosecurity in buses

2020-07-03 Companies have been creating partnerships, motivated by offering to the market innovative solutions in the fight against viruses and bacteria, especially during this pandemic. Caio Induscar, urban buses manufacturer, made the public commitment to bring options for biosecurity, as it is aware of the fundamental role of buses to the daily lives of millions of people in Brazil and in the world.

That is why, allied to Chroma-Líquido Tecidos Tecnológicos, exclusively approved by Rhodia, Caio, always at the forefront, covered seats, handles and handrails with a fabric made with Amni® Virus-Bac OFF polyamide threads, developed by Rhodia. It has antibacterial and antiviral action with permanent efficacy, a great achievement in the advancement of biosecurity for products of the brand.

A Caio urban bus, Millennium generation four, was the model that received the antiviral cover (Amni® Virus-Bac OFF) and the prototype is in the final test phase. “Once these tests are completed, the innovation will be available for use in Caio’s product portfolio of urban buses, and Busscar’s, coach manufacturer, providing to our clients another biosecurity item”, emphasizes Paulo Ruas, Commercial Director at Caio Group.

According to the companies that developed the technological thread and fabric, after the execution of several internal tests, the material has shown efficacy in the action against enveloped viruses, a classification that includes coronavirus and influenza, for example. Additionally, the material is pleasant to touch and has thermal comfort, maintaining the quality standard.

The analyses and tests presented by the manufacturer show that, if the cover is touched (hands, clothing, etc.) or hit by droplets from sneezing contaminated by the virus, it will make the virus lose its contaminant effect, becoming inactive. This prevents the so-called cross-contamination, when the infection happens when an infected person touches a surface and, then, another one touches the same place, allowing the proliferation of the virus in scale.

Also, according to the manufacturer, the fabric has the ideal conditions for the use in public transport as, besides being biologically secure, it is resistant to extreme usage conditions, such as constant friction and sanitization (including washing), never losing its efficacy. With the mesh composition, the cover is easy to maintain and is quick to dry.

Caio believes in the synergy of companies, stating, once again, its concern with its clients and passengers, offering to the market the solutions that result in health, wellbeing and quality of life to people, especially during this moment.
