Caio Induscar supplies more trolleybus to São Paulo

2013-02-05 Caio Induscar searches, by means of technological advances, for constant solutions to public transport, contributing to the cities sustainable development, manufacturing bodies for buses with alternative energy.

The paulista bus body builder has produced trolleybus since the end of 2011. The vehicles are free of pollutants emission due to their electric traction engines.
Among purchase orders and the bodies delivered up to now, Caio Induscar sums up about 200 trolleybuses.

As part of this total, from the end of 2011 to May 2012, Caio Induscar delivered to the company Ambiental Transportes Urbanos, 80 units of the trolleybus Millennium III, with Mercedes-Benz 12-meter-long chassis and capacity to transport up to 82 passengers. More 50 units are being delivered to the same company.

The Scania chassis used in these vehicles are 15-meter-long with capacity for 96 passengers, have low entry, electric transmission and access ramps and area for wheelchair, among other features.

Yet, the company is producing 20 articulated trolleybuses for Metra, the operator of ABD Metropolitan Bus Lane.

The chassis used are made by Mercedes-Benz and have 18 meters of length. This low entry model has capacity to transport 123 passengers, among sitting and standing users and has also an area for wheelchairs. Among other characteristics, the body has access ramps and air conditioning.

The engines are supplied by Weg and all the electric components and the assembly by Eletra.

For the company´s board of directors, generating solutions for the bus transport is part of its vision and its searching for constant improvement of products and service.
