Caio Induscar launches new version of Apache VIP

2014-09-17 Bus builder launches its latest version of the Apache VIP, the highest selling Brazilian urban bus.

One of the major reasons for the Apache VIP’s success is that Caio Induscar is the leader in urban buses as no other manufacturer has 68 years experience and tradition in the bus field or has supplied so many urban buses for the transport networks.

The model is used in urban centres, and with its front motor can also work on difficult terrains. The bus is available on urban chassis from all chassis manufacturers.

The bus was conceived using new design concepts linked to traditional low maintenance costs. The main external change is the design, where light arrays have a new shape and led side lights, avoiding constant bulb burnout; the rear lights are interchangeable led blocks, where the same piece can be used on either side, improving replacement and maintenance; a new angle for the front upper itinerary, giving a more aerodynamic external appearance; a new layout for the driver’s window to ease maintenance; and a three-part rear bumper made with a new material which is better at absorbing impacts.

The main internal change is the electrical centre, with more space to accommodate and organise all electrical components, especially as embarkation technology is becoming more commonly installed. Hand and grab rail fittings, seat covers and covers for door boxes, electrical centre, internal front cupola have been given a new cover to facilitate cleaning.

The new bus has been presented to our sales team, is on demonstration in various states and will be presented to the whole country in November at Fetransrio, an important event for the sector.

Caio Induscar continually invests in product improvements, meeting the needs of clients and the market.
