CAIO GROUP STANDS OUT AS A MAJOR EMPLOYER IN BOTUCATU AND REGION

2024-11-21 The Caio Group consists of several companies, most of which are located in the Botucatu region of São Paulo. The group originated from the bus manufacturer Caio, founded in 1945 and acquired by its current shareholders in 2001.
The companies were initially incorporated to serve as suppliers for Caio, which specializes in urban buses, and later for Busscar, a producer of intercity buses. This collaboration laid the foundation for what is now known as the Caio Group. Today, many of these companies also cater to other clients in the automotive market and the growing demand for urban mobility solutions.
The Group currently comprises the following companies: Caio Botucatu (manufacturing unit – headquarters), relocated from São Paulo to Botucatu in 1980 and inaugurated in 1982, with its Central Office in São Paulo; Fiberbus (fiber/composite parts) established in 2008; Inbrasp (plastic parts) established in 2009; Industrial Complex (glass, seats, doors, and windows) established in 2013; Rio de Janeiro Store (parts sales) established in 2013; Caio Barra Bonita (manufacturing unit – Caio branch) established in 2015; Busscar (intercity bus manufacturer) in 2017; Copperbuss (manufacturer of electrical harnesses) established in 2020; Caio Busscar Technical Center (technical support, parts sales, and training) established in 2022.
The Caio Group has sales and parts distribution representatives serving all Brazilian states, continually expanding its reach and solidifying its leadership position in the industry.
Currently, the Group employs over 7,000 people. Each employee plays a vital role in pursuing excellence, innovation, and quality, fostering a collaborative and motivating work environment.
In 2025, Caio will celebrate 80 years of history, and the Caio Group will complete 25 years of operation. These milestones not only reflect the magnitude of its operations but also highlight the value of the people who contribute to this successful journey.
