CAIO EXHIBITS EMILLENNIUM, 100% ELECTRIC BUS AT URBAN MOBILITY EVENT

2023-10-24 The eMillennium, a bus designed exclusively for battery-powered chassis, is Caio`s highlight at the ANTP Arena Congress, which takes place starting October 24th in São Paulo.


Caio, leader in the urban bus segment in Brazil and one of the most important bus manufacturers in Latin America, is constantly focused on developing solutions for intelligent mobility. At the 22nd edition of the ANTP Arena Congress, the brand is highlighting the eMillennium model on its stand, which represents the evolution of the brand`s countless solutions for urban mobility using alternative energy traction.

The entire model was designed to meet the needs and requirements of vehicles with electric propulsion, bringing attributes such as sustainability, modernity and reliability from a brand with over 77 years of know-how.

The eMillennium on display at the event is 13,235 mm long and is built on a 100% electric Mercedes-Benz eO500-U chassis. The optimized positioning of the battery pack and components contributes to a seating capacity of 86 passengers in the model on display.

The configurations include a one-piece windshield and tripartite front and rear bumpers for easy maintenance. The dome and rear break light bear the characteristics of the current Caio product family. The full LED light cluster has an exclusive Caio signature, and the LED lights have a homogeneous lighting effect. These components are also interchangeable between other models of the brand.

Several items in the interior lounge are made of polymer, a 100% recyclable material that combines a superior finish, durability and ease of cleaning. What`s more, because it`s a lighter material, the body has a positive impact on the vehicle`s weight.

Silent, with upholstered armchairs and air-conditioning. The eMillennium brings comfort to the passenger in every respect. It has on-board technology items such as USB sockets for recharging mobile devices, Wi-Fi and the Multiplex System, which identifies possible faults in the vehicle`s operating and electrical systems, guaranteeing a safe trip for passengers.
