CAIO DELIVERS FIRST MILLENNIUM V UNITS TO VIAÇÃO CIDADE SORRISO, IN CURITIBA (PR)

2025-01-06 Viação Cidade Sorriso, known as Sorriso de Curitiba, has acquired 24 sophisticated urban buses from Caio, the Millennium model, of which 13 are Millennium V and 11 are Articulated Millennium. These vehicles will operate on the Ligeirinho and Interchangeable systems in Curitiba (PR).

Jocemario Dartora, sales representative of Caio in the Curitiba region, remarks: “Viação Cidade Sorriso, which belongs to the Gulin Group, is part of the Pioneiro consortium. Thus, the vehicles being delivered will not only renew the company`s fleet but will also contribute to public transportation in the southern region of Curitiba, where the consortium operates.”

Units of the Millennium V, 12,925 mm long, with a total capacity of 86 people, front boarding, Volvo B320R 4X2 chassis, high floor and Euro VI technology, have already been delivered from this batch. They have a total of three doors and access ramps with sound signals.

Its armchairs are injection-molded and have headrests and armrests. Technology features include USB sockets, a speed limiter, a voice announcer, a natural interior ventilation system and a GPS device.

The other units already delivered are the Articulated Millennium model, with a length of 18,590 mm, total capacity for 130 people and a Mercedes-Benz O-500 MA 2838 chassis. They have a total of four doors and a semi-automatic hydraulic elevator.

The seats have the same configuration as the other model and the onboard technologies include six cameras, digital audio equipment, a voice announcer on the doors and LED electronic routes.
