CAIO SUPPLIES 15 UNITS OF THE APACHE VIP CITY BUS TO VIAÇÃO CIDADE DO AÇO

2024-04-12 Caio, a manufacturer of city buses, recently supplied Viação Cidade do Aço with 15 units of the Apache Vip bus, Brazil`s best-selling front engine model.

New units are operating on the public passenger transport system in the municipality of Barra Mansa. The city stands out as one of the main urban areas in the Sul Fluminense region and in the state of Rio de Janeiro, with a privileged geographical position, located in the Rio-São Paulo-Minas axis.

The acquisition of the first 15 units to join Viação Cidade do Aço’s bus fleet represents the beginning of a significant partnership between Caio and the company,” he emphasized.

About Apache VIP

The Apache Vip city buses purchased are the fifth generation, with total capacity for 79 passengers and front boarding. They are 12,700 meters long and have original chassis door locks.

The buses were assembled on OF-1721/59 chassis (Mercedes-Benz), with Euro VI technology, adopted in the country to reduce emissions of pollutants.

They are 100% accessible, equipped with semi-automatic elevators, seats for disabled passengers, passengers with reduced mobility and the elderly, as well as an exclusive area for wheelchair users or people with visual impairment.

Units have upholstered seats, air-conditioning and windows with sunblocks, ensuring passenger comfort during travel.

The vehicles are equipped with on-board technology, such as preparation for the installation of micro-cameras, electromechanical turnstiles and ticket control devices. Vehicles are also equipped with LED electronic itineraries signs installed at strategic points, which contribute to better visibility of the routes.
