The municipality of Maricá, located in the Rio de Janeiro Metropolitan Region, now has 25 new units of Apache Vip, front engine bus, urban sales leader, produced by assembly company Caio Induscar.
The vehicles were purchased by the company Viação Nossa Senhora do Amparo, a traditional customer of the Caio brand. They will operate the Maricá urban transportation system, which serves 17,000 passengers daily.
Known as red, the buses reinforce the fleet managed by the Public Transport Company (EPT), which operates in the city through the Tarifa Zero Municipal Program. With this initiative, Marica became a national and international mobility reference.

The buses are 12,725 meters long and have a total capacity for 79 people. They are air-conditioned, fully accessible, equipped with lifts and seats for people with disabilities, reduced mobility and the elderly.
For the comfort and convenience of passengers, all seats are fully upholstered and USB sockets for recharging mobile devices.
They have LED lighting; electronic itineraries and preparation for internal camera monitoring system, providing greater security for everyone using public transportation.
