Caio, the leading manufacturer of city buses in Brazil, is reinforcing its contribution to sustainable public transport in the city of Manaus, the capital of Amazonas. We are pioneers in bringing a zero-emission bus to this complex that is the Amazon which, due to its impact on the global climate, has its preservation as a worldwide priority.”

The eMillennium delivered will also be the basis for studies that will map the vehicle`s performance, which will be monitored by the Manaus City Hall in partnership with the Federal University of Amazonas.

The company Integração, which is part of the Eucatur Group, will be responsible for operating the eMillennium. The bus will run line 125, which transports university students from the Federal University of Amazonas (UFAM). In addition to this route, which passes through downtown, the bus will also provide special transport to events and other opportunities to demonstrate the model.
David Almeida, the mayor of Manaus, due to his innovative profile, is the creator of the change in mobility by public bus transport in the capital. ``The electric bus has incredible technology, is comfortable, has air conditioning and is automatic, which means it doesn`t emit 105 tons of carbon dioxide a year into the environment.”
The municipal manager adds: ``Manaus is advancing and being an example of sustainability and innovation. We are investing in the modernization of the city`s transport services, to serve the population with quality. Putting it into context: According to the Brazilian Institute of Geography and Statistics (IBGE), a biome is a collection of plant and animal life, formed by grouping together types of vegetation that are close and can be identified at a regional level, with similar geological and climatic conditions and which have historically undergone the same landscape formation processes, resulting in a unique diversity of flora and fauna.
