2024-11-20Caio, a leading Brazilian manufacturer of urban buses, has delivered ten brand new Apache Vip V units to TipBus Transportes, which will operate in the Guarulhos (SP) region.
The vehicles were manufactured in accordance with the requirements of EMTU - SP (Empresa Metropolitana de Transportes Urbanos de São Paulo) and follow the painting standard characteristic of the operators of the RMESP (Metropolitan Region of the State of São Paulo).
Gildo Rego Vendramini, Caio`s sales representative in the São Paulo region, emphasizes the importance of participating in this fleet renewal: “It is gratifying for Caio to contribute to the modernization of the fleet of a traditional client like TipBus, which for years has played a key role in the public transport of municipal and intercity lines in São Paulo.”
About Apache VIP
The models purchased have three doors to the right of the body, allowing for front boarding and a total capacity of 77 passengers: 37 seated, 39 standing and one driver. They were built on Volkswagen 17-260 chassis, 12,700 mm long and Euro VI technology, adopted in the country to reduce pollutant emissions.
The passenger compartment is spacious and comfortable, with fully upholstered seats and headrests, as well as air conditioning to ensure thermal comfort during the journey.
All Apache Vip buses are 100% accessible, with seats reserved for people with disabilities (PwD), reduced mobility and the elderly, semi-automatic elevators at the center doors and a wheelchair box with a retractable seat.
The modern vehicles are equipped with onboard technology items such as a reverse gear alarm with night attenuator, electromechanical turnstile, LED lighting in the corridor and above the steps in the door box, as well as points for installing ticket validators, micro cameras and a telemetry system.
They also have a multiplex keyboard that identifies possible operational and electrical faults, allowing the driver to have full control of the vehicle`s functions while it is in operation.
And to make it easier for passengers to identify the lines, electronic LED routes are positioned at strategic points on the body: front, right side, base of the dashboard and rear.
