NGO “AMIGOS DO BEM” ACQUIRES SIX FOZ SUPER 2500 CAIO BUSES, WITH NEW ON-BOARD NATURAL AIR CONDITIONING SYSTEM

2024-11-12 The NGO Amigos do Bem, a national institution dedicated to fighting hunger and poverty, recently acquired six Foz Super 2500 buses from Caio, which will be used to transport students in the Northeast, in the state of Pernambuco.

Through initiatives focused on education, income generation and various projects, the organization transforms lives and promotes local development.

Caio, attuned to these goals, produced the Foz Super 2500 in a customized and accessible way, equipped with a mobile seat device (DPM) and capacity for 59 passengers. With central boarding, the bus has two sedan doors, one with electro-pneumatic drive and the other with manual drive.

“Working with urban mobility is very rewarding, because our buses not only help people get to their destinations, but, through partnerships like the one with Amigos do Bem, we are sure that we are also contributing to the social and economic development of the communities they serve and positively impacting the present and future of our country,” says Maurício Cunha, industrial vice-president of the Grupo Caio.

More details on the Foz Super 2500

All the buses were built on 10,935 mm long Volkswagen 15-210 ODR chassis with Euro VI technology, adopted in the country to reduce pollutant emissions.

The seats are fully upholstered and have notebook holders. The tinted windows have two movable panes and include an emergency activation system on both sides.

Among the on-board technologies are a reversing alarm with night attenuator, a monitor on the driver`s dashboard, preparation for a micro-camera and Wi-Fi system, internal lighting in the saloon and in the door box, above the steps, making it easier for passengers to board and disembark. In addition, the buses have “Arejabus”, a solution from the Areja company to improve the thermal sensation of passengers, a product that is in the process of being approved by Caio.

About the new natural climate control item

Arejabus is an automatic natural climate control system that optimizes air circulation inside the vehicle, creating an airy, healthy and safe environment, without impacting on fuel consumption and the environment. It prevents the concentration of viruses and bacteria, as well as fogging up the windshield on rainy days.

Its operation is based on a ventilation control that activates exhaust fans and fans according to the speed of the bus. The system has an air catcher that allows fresh air to enter through the roof, while a natural exhaust fan exhausts the hot air. The blinds, meanwhile, ensure that fresh air enters without allowing water in.
