With nearly eight decades of tradition, the Caio brand blends pioneering advancements in processes, design, and manufacturing with innovation in materials and onboard technology, providing mobility solutions tailored to diverse market needs.
With manufacturing facilities located in Botucatu and Barra Bonita (SP), Caio has a production capacity of approximately 50 urban buses per day, including articulated and electric models.
Over the past eight years, the company has solidified its leadership position in the industry, achieving an annual average of over 55% market share in the country’s total urban bus production, according to data from FABUS (National Association of Bus Manufacturers).
Caio has been dedicated to developing solutions aimed at advancing urban mobility. With a focus on sustainability, the company produces buses powered by electric propulsion and other alternative energy sources, achieving, over the past three years, approximately 80% market share in electric bus manufacturing in Brazil, according to Renavam data.
In addition to recent fleet renewals and expansions, which positively impacted the company’s results in 2024, another factor contributing to increased production was the Caminho da Escola Program bid, promoted by the Federal Government. Caio was accredited to manufacture, in partnership with Iveco, the winning bidder, 3,500 units of school vehicles, with deliveries scheduled between 2024 and 2025.
