CUIABÁ MODERNIZES ITS FLEET WITH 42 CAIO APACHE VIP BUSES, DELIVERED TODAY BY CITY HALL

2023-07-03 Caio, the bus manufacturer, has delivered 42 units of the Apache Vip to Cuiabá, the capital of Mato Grosso. The companies Caribus, Integração, Rápido Cuiabá and Vpar were responsible for purchasing the vehicles.
The buses will be handed over to the public on Monday, July 3rd, by the Cuiabá City Hall, SEMOB - the Municipal Secretariat for Urban Mobility, and representatives of the companies responsible for acquiring the Apache Vip buses. The new buses are part of the plan to modernize the city`s public transport, providing the residents of Cuiabá with greater comfort and safety.
The Apache Vip zero km buses are in line with the definitions of the bidding process carried out by the city hall at the end of 2019, which provided for a reduction in the average age and air conditioning of 100% of public transport buses by the end of 2024.

About Apache VIP
The Apache Vip buses, produced for Cuiabá, are the latest generation of the front-engined model that makes up the updated Caio family of products. With a length of 12,670 mm, the Apache Vip has been designed so that it can be operated in exclusive lanes or corridors. There are four doors, two at street or avenue level and two at corridor level.
To ensure full accessibility, they are equipped with an elevator on the right side of the body and an access ramp on the left, as well as reserved seats and an exclusive area for wheelchair users or the visually impaired, accompanied by a guide dog.
The interior lounge is made up of comfortable, ergonomic armchairs, covered in material that adds strength, durability and easy cleaning. Thermal comfort is provided by air conditioning and tinted windows.

Other components that make up these Apache Vip units are: an electronic validator, LED interior lighting and electronic routes, capability for GPS, micro-cameras and a Wi-Fi system.
