Caio Induscar supplies buses for Botucatu school transport

2013-11-25 Bus builder Caio Induscar has supplied 12 Apache VIP buses to Botucatu Council to further improve school transport in the city, the home of the company.

The delivery ceremony took place last Wednesday 20th November in front of the Council Offices with participation from Caio Induscar’s Industrial Director, Mauricio da Cunha; City Mayor João Cury; Deputy Mayor Antonio Luis Caldas Junior; Municipal Education Secretary Alessandra Lucchesi; Municipal Council President Ednei Lazaro da Costa Carreira, students from the local school network, and public servants from the local Education department.

The buses were acquired through Fundeb (Fund for the Maintenance and Development of Basic Education and valuing Education Professionals), through a bidding process won by chassis builders Agrale in partnership with Caio Induscar.

The delivered buses have door interlocks, emergency windows, lights fixed to the roof, injection moulded passenger seats with retractable lap seatbelts, providing greater comfort and safety for children travelling between home and school. The drivers have hydraulic seats with high headrests, adjustable height seatbelt, helping drivability.

Caio Induscar are pleased to contribute to improvements in school transport in their home city.
