2013-06-14Caio Induscar’s long distance bus, the Solar, has a new look with a new front, a new back, new sides and new passenger compartment.
The new front has completely redesigned grilles, with larger air intakes to improve engine cooling. The new headlight is a single optical array in-line with modern car design with a line of LEDs, which function as side lights. The new rear-view mirrors are larger giving the driver greater visibility.
The rear has a new design with rear lights in a single unit with LED lights and a larger more modern break light.
The general lines and joint finishes give a cleaner more harmonious look to the new Solar. The lower side panelling (skirt) has been given a curved profile and the air filter deflectors have also been redesigned; the access door also has a more modern design.
The passenger compartment has new more comfortable seats as well as already traditional items, along with LED lighting which is more economical and simplifies maintenance and an antislip floor which increases user safety as well as being easy to clean. There are also individual adjustable reading lights providing more passenger comfort and illuminated seat numbering making it easier for users to find their seats.
The model can be built on Mercedes-Benz, Scania, Volkswagen, Volvo and other makes of chassis. It comes in lengths between 10,500 and 13,200mm, an external width of 2600mm, and external and internal heights of 3260mm 1950mm respectively.
One of the model’s features is the larger sidelights, which accentuate the bus’s elegance and improving vehicle visibility for other road users after dark.
Options include glued windows or glued windows with built-in sliding glass with or without crossovers; sliding seats; air conditioning; heating; low bulkheads; baggage compartments with luggage protection; hubcaps; toilet; etc. all providing better passenger comfort.
