Caio Induscar ends the year with positive results

2013-12-20 According to FABUS data, Brazilian bus builders will finish the year having built around 33 thousand units, a 1.5% increase over 2012.

The first half of 2013 was busy due to fleet updates and sales. In the second half of the year, changes in BNDES regulations, and the demonstrations over the whole country caused a reduction in bus sales.

The internal market had the highest demand in 2012 and 2013, with 87% in 2012 and 88% in 2013, until November, proportionally.

Caio Induscar general production in 2013 recorded an estimated 2% increase, with urban bus production continuing to be top.

The company continually invests in product and process development, and in 2013 restyled the Solar, a bus developed for the long distance and charter segment, and the Foz microbus. Both models were given smooth lines, a modern design, linked to passenger safety and comfort.

Also this year, the Paulista bus builder made two investments forming part of the Group expansion with R$25 million on a new factory in Barra Bonita, SP, and R$30 million, in an industrial complex in Botucatu.
For 2014, we hope that in the first half of the year the market will maintain the same rhythm as the same period in 2013. In the second half of the year we hope that the market behaves in slightly smaller stages than the first half of the year.

The company’s expectations for the year are to maintain the Apache Vip as the highest selling Urban model, sales of the BRT models, and increase our share of the charter sector with the Solar.

For Caio Induscar, it is fundamental to produce buses which combine elegance, comfort, safety, strength, and innovation, serving the market and client requirements.
