Caio Induscar delivers a special bus to the NGO Programando o Futuro

2020-12-11 This week Caio delivered a customized Apache Vip bus to the NGO Programando o Futuro, in Valparaíso de Goiás. The organization founded 20 years ago, operates in the digital inclusion of needy communities and in projects of a social nature aimed at educational, environmental, and technological actions throughout Brazil.

The Apache Vip produced for the NGO will be used in Reciclotech, an inclusion program of the Secretariat of Science, Technology, and Innovation of the Federal District. “We are, according to the UN, the 6th country that generates the most electronic waste in the world, therefore there is a need to make people aware of the importance of the correct disposal of this type of material. Our new bus, produced by Caio, will house a multimedia laboratory that will disseminate these concepts. In addition, the vehicle will have a structure to train low-income young people through courses focused on technology”, explains Vilmar Simion Nascimento, founder and coordinator of the NGO.

According to Vilmar, the new vehicle will start operating in early 2021 with the aim of carrying out 100 itinerant actions by Reciclotech, on electronic waste management, and the collection of these materials in the communities. Donated computers, monitors and other electronics, depending on their state, can be retrieved, and later donated to educational institutions in less favored locations.
