CAIO, IN PARTNERSHIP WITH ELETRA, PARTICIPATES IN THE ELECTRIC MOBILITY SALON AND C-MOVE CONGRESS, IN SÃO PAULO

2024-10-25 Between October 22 and 24, Caio, in partnership with Eletra, was present at the E-Mob Electric Mobility Show, exhibiting a 100% Brazilian electric school bus. The 11.3 meters vehicle in length has capacity up to 52 seated passengers and a wheelchair, in addition to an advanced electrification system developed by Eletra.
The event brought together hybrid and electric vehicle exhibitors, service and equipment suppliers, industry enthusiasts and press professionals. At the Caio and Eletra booth, companies’ employees from the marketing sector and support areas were available to interact with the visitors and share information about the innovations presented.
In addition to the exhibitions, E-Mob was the stage for debates at the C-Move congress, which was attended by experts, authorities and representatives of companies operating in the electromobility sector. The purpose was to discuss the trends, solutions and innovations shaping the present and future of electric mobility.
João Roberto dos Santos, Engineering Manager at Caio, participated in the panel “Innovations in Electric Bus Systems: Technology, Operations and Financing”, and highlighted the importance of choosing the appropriate body to maximize the autonomy of electric vehicles. He also addressed the main differences between the components of diesel and electric vehicle bodies, emphasizing the need for an integrated technical approach in technological, operational and financial aspects.
Eliana Alves, manager of the Sustainable Mobility area of the Caio Group, participated in the panels ``Sustainable Alternatives for Heavy Vehicles`` and ``Productive Chain of Electromobility in Brazil and São Paulo: Employment, Income, Investment”. During the topics covered, she emphasized the importance of draw a technological route to increases demand and reduces costs. In addition, the manager also emphasized the need to implement advanced technologies in Brazil to reduce local spending on component production.
“After one year of Caio’s electric buses operation in São Paulo, we have proven these models are a viable solution to expand sustainable mobility. The vehicles have already covered more than 4 million kilometers, resulting in the reduction of more than 7,000 tons of CO2 emitted into the atmosphere.
