CAIO DELIVERS SIXTEEN NEW BUSES TO GIDION IN JOINVILLE
2024-08-02Gidion Transporte e Turismo, which operates public transportation in Joinville (SC), has acquired sixteen new Caio buses for the renewal of its fleet, with Apache Vip version V bodies, on Volkswagen Euro VI chassis, which reduce around 75% of pollutants in the atmosphere.
With the new units, Gidion is once again demonstrating its goal of offering quality public transport, with the most modern, safe and comfortable buses, to the residents of Joinville.

About the buses
Apache Vip V Volkswagen chassis, 13.2 meters, 7 units
The units are the fifth generation Apache Vip Caio model. Seven of the units are 13.2 meters long, have a total capacity for 85 passengers and are built on Volkswagen 17-230 ODS full air chassis.
Each unit has three folding doors on the right-hand side, one at the front, one at the center and one at the rear. It is equipped with a semi-automatic elevator in the central door, on the right-hand side of the body; five seats reserved for people with disabilities (PwD), reduced mobility and the elderly; one seat for the obese, and an exclusive area for wheelchair users or people with visual impairments, accompanied by a guide dog, with a three-point safety belt, providing total accessibility during transportation.
For passenger comfort, the Apache Vip Caio has air conditioning and electromechanical turnstiles and validators, as well as USB sockets on the side. The units also allow for the installation of micro-cameras and a Wi-Fi system.
All the buses have electronic itineraries, one on the front, one on the left and one on the right.

The units are the fifth generation Apache Vip Caio model. Nine of the units are 15 meters long, have a total capacity of 109 passengers and are built on a 22-260 ODS Volkswagen chassis.
Each unit has three folding doors on the right-hand side, one at the front, one at the center and one at the rear.
