ADONE PROJECT WILL EXPAND ITS FLEET IN ANGOLA WITH 100 MORE CAIO BUSES

2024-07-30 The company Adone Project Management, a traditional Caio customer, has invested in 100 more Apache Vip buses to add to its fleet, which already has 790 units of the same model.

In June, 68 units were delivered and the remaining 32 units will be shipped in August, bringing the total number of Caio buses in the Adone fleet to 890.

In total, there will be another 100 Apache Vip buses operating in the fleets of the 18 provinces and public bodies of Angola, an African country with more than 35 million inhabitants, which stands out for the high concentration of oil in its territory, a natural resource that makes up its economy.

Caio`s export sales representative, Klaus Von Winckler, highlights the importance of this partnership between the bus manufacturer and Adone Project Management.
“It is gratifying for Caio to help with yet another fleet expansion and also with public transportation for the Angolan population. This synergy between Caio and Adone confirms our commitment to meeting customer expectations and offering robust, easy-to-maintain, quality products.”

About Apache VIP
All the buses are of the fifth generation, are 10.5 meters long and were built on Volkswagen 17-230 chassis with a front engine.

For the safety of passengers, the buses are equipped with folding doors, which prevent them from opening unexpectedly during the journey, and emergency windows. For thermal comfort, they all have air conditioning. They have a retractable step on the front door to facilitate passenger access.

The vehicles also have electromechanical turnstiles and on-board technologies, such as a reversing alarm and LED lighting in the interior lounge and door boxes. In addition, electronic itineraries have been installed on the front and sides of the buses, making it easier to see the lines when passengers board.

The Apache Vip buses have some special features, such as a wheelchair-accessible area, a semi-automatic elevator at the rear door and a hydraulic seat for the ticket collector.
