VIAÇÃO PIRACICABANA BUYS 150 APACHE VIP CAIO V BUSES FOR BRASÍLIA

2024-10-24 Viação Piracicabana, part of the Comporte Group, has purchased 150 Apache Vip V buses, which are the best-selling urban buses in Brazil. So far, 90 of these buses have been delivered and are now in use in Brasília’s Plano Piloto, Sobradinho, and Planaltina. The remaining 60 buses are still being prepared at the factory.

Of the 150 buses, 139 are part of the fleet renewal, and 11 are for expanding the company`s services. Marco Oliveira, the Maintenance Manager of Viação Piracicabana, expressed his happiness with the quality of the buses from Caio, saying, ``We are very pleased with the partnership and the quality of the buses we received. They met our expectations in many ways``.

He also highlighted the comfort of the buses: ``The interior space is great for operators, and the driver`s seat is comfortable with adjustable features that meet individual needs. The dashboard has excellent visibility, and the ventilation inside is efficient``.

About the Delivered Apache Vip V Buses

The buses are built on a Mercedes-Benz OF-1721/59 chassis, measuring 12,700 mm long, and can carry up to 83 people, including 39 seated passengers, 42 standing passengers, a driver, and a ticket collector.

Each bus has three pneumatic folding-type doors on the right side, with an emergency activation feature on the front door. For passenger comfort, the seats are upholstered with headrests.

The buses also include a semi-automatic elevator at the central door, six seats reserved for people with disabilities, reduced mobility, and the elderly, and a special area for wheelchair users or visually impaired passengers with guide dogs, ensuring great accessibility.

The vehicles are equipped with technologies, including four electronic itineraries positioned in different places: at the front, rear, right side, and base of the dashboard. They also feature LED lighting in the interior hall and door area above the steps, enhancing accessibility to the bus; and preparations for micro-cameras and Wi-Fi. They are equipped with six speakers, an electromechanical turnstile, and points for installing validators, micro-cameras, and TV monitors.
