CAIO MODERNIZES FLEET OF VIAÇÃO MARECHAL WITH SEVERAL MODELS OF URBAN BUSES

2024-09-10 On August 29, Caio delivered to Auto Viação Marechal two of the four models of urban buses purchased, which will be integrated to the public transport of the satellite cities of Brasília. The ceremony was attended by Ibaneis Rocha, and Celina Leão, governor and vice-governor of Distrito Federal, respectively, Donato Gulin, Dante Gulin and Acir Gulin, partners of Auto Viação Marechal, Igor Taques, director of the transport company, in addition to Maurício Cunha and Doniselma Ribeiro de Lima, Industrial VP and representative, respectively, of Grupo Caio.

To renew the fleet of Marechal, 78 buses, from a total supply of 121 units, Apache Vip model, have been initially delivered, and 22 additional units of microbus Foz F2400, to attend the line expansion of the transport company. Also, two models of the sophisticated Millenium V models are in manufacturing process.

Doniselma Ribeiro de Lima, sales representative of Caio in the Brasília region, highlights: “It is very gratifying for us to renew the fleet and strengthen the partnership with Auto Viação Marechal, and contribute for the improvement of public transportation in the federal capital and region.”

About Apache Vip V

All the fifth-generation buses are 13.2m long, with body assembled on Mercedes-Benz OF-1721/59 chassis, front engine and Euro VI technology, adopted in the country to reduce the emission of pollutants

To provide safety to passengers, three bellows-type doors have been installed on the right side of the body, provided with blocking device that prevents unexpected opening while running along the itinerary, in addition to emergency activation in the front door.

These models also offer to users accessible and ergonomic transport, with padded seats reserved to people with disabilities (PcD), reduced mobility and the elderly; semi-automatic lift on the mid door and an exclusive area for wheelchair users or visually-impaired people, accompanied by service dog.

Onboard technologies highlighted include air conditioning, reverse gear alarm with night tone attenuator, LED lighting on the door case steps, and points for installation of ticket validators, micro cameras, TV monitors, microphone for the driver and preparation for the telemetry system.

About Foz F2400

All the vehicles were assembled on Mercedes-Benz LO-916/48 chassis, are 9.030m long and equipped with Euro VI technology, adopted in the country to reduce emissions of pollutants. They accommodate 36 passengers, 23 seating and 13 standing.

With central boarding, the models are equipped with two bellows-type door, with pneumatic activation. They also have Insulfilm-coated window glasses; two moving glasses, emergency activation by levers installed in strategic places.

Other onboard items include semi-automatic lifts, seats and space reserved for people with reduced mobility and visual or physical disability, thus assuring more accessible transport to passengers. Onboard technologies are similar to the ones of Apache Vip model.
