Caio Induscar is betting on partners in order to offer the market products with low environmental impact

2017-08-08 The need to add "clean energy" vehicles to large cities public transportation fleets, reducing environmental impacts, is a matter that has been continually discussed. Offering the market products with these characteristics, which are operationally viable, is a matter that has, for many years, mobilized Caio Induscar`s efforts. Caio, throughout its more than 70 years of operations, has formed partnerships with important companies that produce transportation technology with low pollution emissions.

With national technology, the Caio brand, together with Eletra, is producing vehicles to be used in modern trolleybus (electric, with batteries that ensure up to 7 km autonomy, without the need to be connected to cables) and hybrid bus (moved by fuel and electricity) systems.

Another partnership with BYD is producing the electrical version of the Millenium bus, recently presented to the administration of São Paulo`s mayor. The vehicle has batteries that are, on average, autonomous for 250 km, and also are capable of converting kinetic energy into electricity when the bus brakes, in order to realign the vehicle, resulting no pollution emissions.

According to mayor João Doria, the vehicle will enter operations on July 31, in the central region of the capital of São Paulo. During the event, the city`s Secretary of Mobility and Transportation (SMT), Sérgio Avelleda, highlighted that the exchange of 60 diesel buses for electrical buses is a situation being studied.

Caio Induscar believes in the strength of its partnerships for offering the market innovative products, constantly concerned with contributing to the evolution of urban mobility.
