Caio contributes to the school transportation of more than 140 cities in the interior of São Paulo

2019-10-10 The date of October 7, 2019 marked a new page in the history of school transportation of 144 municipalities in the state of São Paulo, which were awarded with 180 new buses produced by Caio Induscar, the largest city bus builder in the country.

The vehicles were delivered to the cities through the “Pathway to School Program” of the National Education Development Fund (FNDE), linked to the Ministry of Education.

All buses are produced with F2400 - ORE2 coach and feature chassis from the Mercedes-Benz model LO-916, with a locking axle and high rear overhang, which facilitates transport in both city and hard-to-reach rural areas, like holes, river crossing, and woodlands.

The 180-unit delivery ceremony was held in the São Paulo capital, Villa-Lobos Park, and was attended by Vice Governor Rodrigo Garcia; State Secretary of Education Rossieli Soares and Minister of Education Abraham Weintraub.

According to an interview with the press, according to the Secretary of Education, Rossieli Soares, school transportion is one of the biggest challenges for the state. “In every way, including finance, logistics and the responsibility of transporting thousands and thousands of children every day.”
