CAIO DELIVERS 100 NEW APACHE VIP BUSES TO BR MOBILIDADE

2024-11-28 BR Mobilidade Baixada Santista, part of the Comporte Group, is responsible for the operation of buses, bus corridors and the Baixada Santista Light Rail Vehicle, through the PPP (Public Private Partnership) of the São Paulo State Government`s Metropolitan Integrated System.

Recently, the consortium acquired another 100 new Caio buses, Apache Vip V model, to renew its fleet on the intercity metropolitan lines (EMTU) of Baixada Santista, on the coast of São Paulo.

About Apache VIP

The models purchased have two doors to the right of the body, one central and one front for boarding.

They were built on Mercedes-Benz OF-1721/59 chassis, 12,700 mm long and Euro VI technology, adopted in the country to reduce pollutant emissions.

The passenger compartment is spacious, with a total capacity for 84 passengers: 42 seated, 41 standing and one driver. To ensure comfort, the environment has air conditioning, upholstered injection-molded seats, headrests and armrests, providing a more pleasant journey.

All Apache Vip buses are 100% accessible, with seats reserved for people with disabilities (PwD), reduced mobility and the elderly, a semi-automatic elevator at the central door and a wheelchair user`s box.

The modern vehicles are equipped with onboard technology items such as a reverse gear alarm with night attenuator, electromechanical turnstile, LED lighting in the corridor and above the steps in the door box, as well as points for installing ticket validators, micro cameras and a Wi-Fi system.
