2024-09-18Expresso Auto Bus, traditional Caio client and member company of Grupo Talismã, acquired recently its first new bus, fifth-generation Apache Vip model.
The vehicle will integrate the public transportation system of Araras, city with approximate area of 645 Km² and near 131 thousand inhabitants, known as tourist resort in the state of São Paulo, offering touristic infrastructure and service, with historic and religious attractions, in addition to natural and landscape resources.
Rogério Leone, sales representative of Caio in the São Paulo region, highlights the importance of the continuous partnership with the transport company, which enabled the first purchase of a newly manufactured model. “Establishing close relationship with the client was essential to build the trust required for changing the pre-owned product by the new one. Apache Vip not only exceeded the operator’s expectations, but also opened opportunities for future acquisitions.”

This model accommodates up to 83 people, 40 seating, 41 standing, one ticket collector and one driver. The vehicle’s body has been assembled on Mercedes-Benz OF-1721 L/59 chassis, 12.750m long, with Euro VI technology, adopted in the country to reduce the emission of pollutants.
With front boarding, the vehicle has been equipped with three bellows-type doors, located on the right side of the body, front, mid and rear positions. All of them providing pneumatic actuation, and the front door equipped with emergency system.
The vehicle contains 38 injection-molded seats, totally padded, five of them reserved for people with disabilities (PcD), reduced mobility, and the elderly.
Another accessibility item is the semi-automatic lift, in mid door, and the exclusive space for wheelchair users or people with visual impairment, accompanied by service dog.
Onboard technologies in this model include air conditioning, electromechanical turnstile, internal LED lighting and points for installation of micro cameras and ticket validator.
The bus also provides keyboard with multiplex system, which indicates to the driver possible electrical failures, providing greater safety during the trip. It also counts on four electronic LED itinerary displays, installed on the front and right sides, dashboard base and internal top, all of them accompanied with controller, installed on the driver’s panel.
The bus painting is attractive and customized, representing a macaw in the city emblem colors (red, yellow and blue), located on the rear, right and left sides, symbolizing the typical fauna of Ribeirão das Furnas region.
