Municipalities in the interior of São Paulo receive 120 Caio school buses

2020-02-21 In a ceremony held on February 17, 115 municipalities in the State of São Paulo received 120 school buses zero km, Caio brand. These units complete the delivery of the batch of 301 buses acquired in 2019 through the “Programa Caminho da Escola”, financed by the National Education Development Fund (FNDE), linked to the MEC.

The bodies are model F2400-ORE2 and Mercedes-Benz LO916R chassis, which have as differential, locking axle, side skirt and rear overhang, items that facilitate transport in urban and rural areas of difficult access.

The event, held by the Ministry of Education in Campo de Marte, in the capital of São Paulo, was attended by the Minister of Education, Abraham Weintraub; the State Secretary for Education, Rossieli Soares; president of FDE, Leandro Damy, and president of FNDE, Karine Santos.

“Caio is honored to contribute to the training of young students, especially those from rural areas, through comfortable, safe, modern and quality transportation”, highlights Caio’s sales representative, Gildo Vendramini.

About F2400 model:

School version F2400 buses have the capacity to transport 44 students seated plus the driver. Accessibility is guaranteed by the Mobile Armchair Device (DPM), equipment that allows the mobility of up to two people with disabilities (PCD) or reduced mobility.

In the internal lounge, the passenger seats are fully upholstered and customized with notebook holders and also backpacks with different height, offering comfort and practicality. Original chassis door locks and emergency windows provide safe trip.
