Expresso Rio de Janeiro, from the Rio Ita Group, adds units of bus Apache Vip, Caio brand, to its fleet

2023-02-24 This week, bus manufacturer Caio delivered five units of the Apache Vip urban bus for collective passenger transport in Rio de Janeiro.

The model was chosen for fleet renovation of Expresso Rio de Janeiro, belonging to Rio Ita Group, which operates in São Gonçalo, Magé, Itaboraí, Niterói and downtown of Rio de Janeiro. “Another 29 units are in the building bodies process for Rio Ita Group`s other companies, which are investing in a fleet equipped with the most modern public transport means”, details Maria Tereza Oliveira Ferreira, local sales representative.


About the Apache VIP

The units acquired are 12,725 meters long and have capacity for 79 passengers, with front boarding. For total accessibility, the buses have elevators, in addition to reserved seats and an exclusive area for wheelchair users or people with visual impairments, accompanied by a guide dog.

Focusing on passenger well-being during the journeys, all seats are fully upholstered in vinyl, which is easy to clean and maintain. Thermal comfort is ensured by air conditioning and windows with barriers to solar effects (smoke glass).

All vehicles have on-board technology resources, such as electronic itineraries in LED, preparation for wi-fi installation, micro cameras, and electromechanical turnstiles.
