Caio participates in a beekeeping event, a segment that stands out in Brazilian agribusiness

2022-12-02 Between 2 and 4 of November, Caio, a bus manufacturer, will participate in the beekeeping sector`s biggest event in Brazil. Two of the brand`s buses will be on display at the brand`s stand, with special configurations for the agro segment and people transport in general.

This weekend, Caio will be present at Brazil Honey Show, held in the city of Botucatu to add business, environment, culture, tourism and gastronomy, with the presence of entrepreneurs, associations and institutions of the segment.

The events is in the external area of Shopping Park Botucatu, and the estimated public for the three days is 50 thousand people, who will circulate around 200 stands, food court and space for shows. In parallel, a symposium is scheduled to bring together producers from 12 Brazilian states.

The event location is strategic, since Botucatu and the region hold 40% of the honey production in the State of São Paulo and 4% of the national production, with a production of 51.5 thousand tons per year. Beekeeping moves 1 billion reais a year in exports of honey and by-products.

“The numbers prove the segment`s strength, which is so important for our region and the country. Caio supports and sees the event as a great opportunity to demonstrate products and services to entrepreneurs from all over Brazil”, especially our buses for the agribusiness sector, points out Tânia Pires de Souza, corporate manager of Communication and Marketing at Grupo Caio.

Bus on display at the event

At the brand`s stand, Foz version F2200 and Foz version F2400 are on display, configured for agro segments and passenger transport.

Paulo Ruas, CEO of Caio Group, reinforces Caio products’ versatility : “Our production process allows us to make adaptations to the buses according to the operator`s needs, adding options and functionalities that contribute to optimize our customers’ daily lives”.

Foz version F2200, provided by client Rizzo Transportes e Turismo especially for the event, is 7,900 mm long, has a total capacity for 28 people and a pantographic type door, making it easier for passengers to board and disembark.

The bus in demonstration has a special seal against dust, a front and rear tow hook and mudguards, an essential component for buses traveling on mixed terrains, asphalt and dirt roads. The side luggage racks are spacious and designed to store objects and tools needed by workers during working hours.

Foz version F2400 is special for charter, has a length of 9,310mm, total capacity for 29 people, boarding and disembarking door of the pantographic type, with pneumatic drive. The seats are comfortable and passengers have a USB port available throughout the interior.

It is equipped with air conditioning with an anti-pollen filter, which prevents polluting particles from entering the vehicle. It also has roof rack for toolbox, spare wheel and multipurpose.

Caio makes donations to beekeeping associations in the region

The beekeepers associations in Botucatu and Itatinga benefit from wood donation resulting from manufacturing processes, in good condition. The wood donated weekly is used to make boxes that accommodate the hives, allowing the correct management of bees and honey collection.

Joel Andrade, president of Associação de Apicultores do Polo Cuesta [Polo Cuesta Beekeepers Association], comments on the company`s support: “Caio contributes to the beekeepers development in the region. In addition, the boxes manufactured are sustainable, since we recycle the material collected at the company and transform it, also collaborating with the environment”.

“This partnership is very important for all of us, who now have 57 associates. Donations take place in an organized way so that everyone is contemplated with the given material”, adds Alfredo Augusto Gaspar, beekeeper of the Associação dos Apicultores de Botucatu [Association of Beekeepers of Botucatu].
