Caio Induscar supplies buses to the police’s Special Women’s Protection Unit

2013-09-13 Concerned about violence and threats against women in rural areas, the Federal Government invited bids to supply special buses to deal with these occurrences. Bus builder Caio Induscar is producing a bus that will travel through difficult to access areas, to assure safety to women.

In partnership with Man Latin, winner of the contract to build vehicles for the Delegacia da Mulher (Special Women’s Protection Unit), they will build 54 units, two for each state in the country. The first unit was delivered to the State of Alagoas on 9th August at the Marcha das Margaridas, an institution which fights for women’s safety. Present at the event were Minister Eleonora Menicucci, project founder, and Marcelo Oliveira Barbosa, project coordinator.

The bus model fabricated by Caio Induscar is the Foz Super, which has a locking differential to traverse the most diverse types of terrain; a Multiplex system and on-board computer to aid driveability.

Some eaccessories have been mounted in the vehicles to guarantee a quality service; they include rooms equipped with notebook computers, printer, chairs, and air conditioning, as well as kitchen with microwaves, coffee machine, and other items, and a bathroom to take care of the community.

It is part of Caio Induscar’s mission to build buses that will contribute to wellbeing in the community.
