Caio Induscar sponsors course in children´s protection institute. Besides building a playroom in 2011, bus builder Caio Induscar provided funds for the construction of a place intended to a sewing course named “Costurando em Ação” (Sewing in Action) at Casa Santa Maria, São Manuel, SP. Such institution offers guard and protection for children and teenagers at risk, under the responsibility of the Infancy and Youth Court.

The institution has thirty openings which, besides São Manuel, are placed in cities such as Pratânia and Areiópolis, and is supported by the government, fund-raising events and donations from several private institutions.

“Costurando em Ação” will offer sewing classes to girls from 14 to 17 years old, providing them a professional career, so that they can have a source of income in the future.

On last July 26, the center was inaugurated in the presence of Lílian Tedesco Fusco, Social Promotion Department Director; Silvania Giandoni, Social Worker at Caio Induscar; Valdir Dignani, President of Casa Santa Maria; Márcia Regina de Oliveira, President of the Child and Adolescent Rights City Council; Leila Zorkot Sangalli, Coordinator of Casa Santa Maria, and other representatives of the company.

Caio Induscar directors invest in this Project due to the credibility of the institution, and because this type of partnership is part of the company´s mission to promote the community wellbeing.
