Caio Induscar, for the second consecutive year, supports the Fórum das Artes Pinacotheca in Botucatu

As a supporter of the Fórum das Artes Pinacotheca in Botucatu, for the second consecutive year, through the Rouanet Tax Incentive Law, Caio Induscar, a bus manufacturer, participated last Saturday night, March 7th, in the opening of the exhibition “Luso Afro Brasil – Encontros: Arte, História e Memória” [“Luso Afro Brazil - Sessions: Art, History and Memory”].

The event was attended by the mayor of Botucatu, Mário Eduardo Pardini; the coordinator of the Secretary of Culture and Creative Economy of the State of São Paulo, Antonio Lessa; the curator of the exhibition and director of the Afro Brazil Museum, Emanoel Araújo; the local secretary of Culture of Botucatu, Maria Cristina Cury Ramos, and local authorities.

The Fórum das Artes Pinacotheca, opened in August 2019, has already received almost 20 thousand visitors, hosting seven different exhibitions, in addition to art workshops.

According to the secretary of Culture, Cristina Cury: “Caio`s contribution will enable the implementation of the Arts Library, continue the Educational Project and conclude the technical structure of the local auditorium”.

In addition to Caio being a supporter of the Pinacotheca, the company also adopted the local square for maintaining the landscaping, which is already considered one of the postcards of the City.

For Caio Induscar`s corporate communication and marketing manager, Tânia Pires de Souza: “The Pinacotheca of Botucatu is a space of regional scope, which provides both our employees and the community in general, with a diversified cultural program and renowned exhibitions. Supporting cultural projects is a great satisfaction for Caio”, she concludes.

About the exhibition:

The exhibition “Luso Afro Brazil - Sessions: Art, History and Memory”, will remain open for visitation at the Pinacotheca of Botucatu, until September 13th.

It is promoted by the Afro Brazil Museum, an institution of the Secretary of Culture and Creative Economy of the State of São Paulo, SISEM (State System of Museums in São Paulo) and the Botucatu City Government, through the Local Secretary of Culture.

Curated by Emanoel Araújo, director of the Afro Brazil Museum, the show is considered the largest traveling exhibition ever promoted by the São Paulo institution, within the State of São Paulo. It gathers about 400 works by Brazilian, Portuguese and African artists, including paintings, photographs, sculptures, prints, historical documents and other objects from the 18th century to the present day.
