Caio Induscar competes for the Autodata Awards

2012-10-15 Last July 25, Caio Induscar, represented by its National Manager José Gildo Vendramini, received from Autodata magazine a commemorative plaque for its nomination to the prize “Melhores do Setor Automotivo 2012 – Categoria Encarroçador de Ônibus”, as one of the top automotive companies in the “Bus-builder” category.

The title was due to its high investments for the last few years, improving bus manufacturing. In 2011, R$ 18 millions were invested, being R$ 10 millions for facilities enhance and R$ 8 millions for machines and tooling acquisition. From 2008 up to now, the investments add up to R$ 30 millions.

Caio Induscar is also the present leader in the urban buses segment. Considering the market needs and customers´ comfort and well-being, the company performed studies on projects for the new Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) system throughout the country, to launch special urban bus bodies, articulated and bi-articulated to fulfill he market new requirements.

The results of such study was the new concept for the Millennium BRT model, with innovative design, which works with the three types and existing versions for urban buses. The first model built was the bi-articulated with total low entry and central driver´s cockpit, causing better control and visibility. This bus body runs in São Paulo and has a capacity for 47 sitting and 131 standing passengers.

With all investments made by the company, Caio Induscar is qualified for the Autodata Award, whose result will be published in November.
