Caio Group will establish an electrical harness factory, with activities starting on the second semester of 2020

2020-07-03 With solid management and focused on the mission to do what is best for its employees and clients, Caio Group announces the establishment of a electrical harness factory in the city of Botucatu, SP.

“Botucatu was chosen for the partnership with the City Council, which encouraged us to bring another company that will create opportunities for the community. In this way we confirm that the city that adopted us deserves all our effort for the generation of new jobs through new industries”, said the Caio Group’s Director of New Business, Mr Marcelo Ruas.

Comprised by companies that aim to offer innovative solutions in mobility, with operational efficiency, technology, comfort and safety, the Group has approximately 20 years of operation, with factories in the cities of Botucatu, Barra Bonita, Joinville, and the administrative headquarters in the city of São Paulo.

The new factory, specialized in the manufacturing of electrical harnesses for the automotive sector, is expected to start its activities on the second semester of 2020. The goal of producing harnesses to the companies of the Group, the urban buses manufacturer Caio and the coaches manufacturer Busscar, is to improve competitivity of the companies in the markets where they operate, as well as the optimization of processes, meeting corporate demands.

Mr Marcelo Ruas concludes by emphasizing the jobs that will be created with the new company. “We are the largest employers of the region and we are very proud that, even in the midst of this pandemic, we were able to mitigate the impacts of the crisis for our employees, reducing the number of dismissals that, in total, was around 5% of our team. The new company will generate around 100 direct jobs at first and, depending on the situation of recovery of the economy and market, this number may reach 150”.

“There is also the possibility to hire employees who were recently dismissed, making it clear that some may not be readmitted, as they are not specialists in this activity. We are a company proud of our team and we always leave the door open for employees who were dismissed and may be readmitted”, the Corporate Human Resources Manager, Silvio dos Santos, clarifies.

Caio Group values the synergy for evolution of its activities, maintaining the companies at a level of innovation and leadership.
