According to the organizers, the ``1st Electric Bus Workshop`` was attended by around 200 people, including customers, business partners, companies in the segment and support teams.

``The aim of the meeting was to discuss the particularities of electric buses, connecting the guests to this sustainable option for urban mobility. Professionals from Caio and partner companies presented technical information on the electrical system, bodywork, chassis, battery and infrastructure,`` explains Tânia Pires de Souza, corporate communications and marketing manager for the Caio Group.

José Gildo Vendramini, Caio`s national sales manager, adds: ``It was a complete event, designed to give customers more information about this new technology.”

The event was opened by the representatives of each company: Gilson Piovesan, commercial director of emobility at Weg; Marcelo Gallao, business development director and Simone Montagna, president and commercial CEO of Scania; Maurício Cunha, industrial vice-president of the Caio Group; Milena Romano, president of Eletra; Rafael Hoelz Pereira, marketing manager and Carlos Eduardo Cardoso de Souza, director of Enel X Brasil; and Walter Barbosa, sales and marketing director for buses at Mercedes-Benz.

During the workshop, professionals from each of the organizing companies, as well as Mercedes-Benz and Scania, gave talks on the subject. Electric traction technologies were discussed, as well as the advantages of electrification-specific bodies and chassis, recharging infrastructure and the unification of suppliers, thus creating a partnership that benefits everyone involved.

João Roberto dos Santos, Caio`s engineering manager and one of the speakers at the event, comments on the subject: ``We presented technical details of the eMillennium, such as the new cross-section of the Caio product portfolio, which has increased the width of the interior lounge by up to 70 mm and the roof by up to 110 mm, which contributes to better accommodation of the battery pack and components.”

After a reception, coffee, talks and a round of questions and answers, all the guests went to visit some of the buses that will soon be running around the city of Sao Paulo. With a modern visual identity, they all have green paintwork and the ``electric bus`` sign on the side of the body. The vehicles are decorated with graphic elements, such as the wire and socket, which have been given different colors to identify the operational area.
