Bebedouro City receives Caio Induscar buses

2015-08-12 Caio Induscar once again involved in improving public transport, delivers urban Apache VIP buses to Bebedouro, SP.

The acquisition is part of the city’s fleet update program, hoping to provide more comfort and safety to users. The plan is that the buses will begin operating during the month of August.
The Apache VIP model was chosen for its modern design combined with strength and low maintenance costs. The vehicles are supplied with injection moulded seats, smoked glass side windows, electronic led itineraries, and an electronic ticketing system.

Accessibility for all in the Apache VIP is achieved with an elevator, bell pushbutton in braille, and seats reserved for the elderly, and those with reduced mobility and guide dogs.

One of the buses was fitted with electrical door interlocks which block vehicle ignition when the doors are open. This feature was installed as an experiment to provide more user safety.
The buses can carry 42 seated passengers including one wheelchair, with a total capacity for 80 people.

Presentation of the new buses

On 7th August, the mayor of Bebedouro, accompanied by the directors of bus company Viação Urbana de Guarulhos (VUG) and local dignitaries officially presented the new buses to the population.
