MEMBER COMPANIES OF GRUPO COMPORTE RENEW FLEETS IN PARANÁ WITH SIX APACHE VIP CAIO BUSES
2024-10-03Expresso Nossa Senhora da Penha and Viação Apucarana, member companies of Grupo Comporte, recently renewed their fleets with the purchase of six new Caio buses, which will ride in the cities of Apucarana and Santo Antônio da Platina, state of Paraná.
The four fifth-generation Apache Vip buses acquired by Viação Apucarana, will bring modernity to the 15th most populous city of Paraná, Apucarana. With near 130 thousand inhabitants, the municipality is located in the Midwest region of the state and occupies total area of approximately 557km2.
On the other hand, at 370km from Curitiba, Santo Antônio da Platina will receive two Apache Vip V buses acquired by Expresso Nossa Senhora da Penha, which will contribute for the public transport of the city, with near 45 thousand inhabitants, within an approximate area of 722km².

About the buses
All the buses have been assembled on Mercedes-Benz chassis, with Euro VI technology, adopted in the country to reduce emission of pollutants. They are 100% accessible, equipped with semi-automatic lifts, seats reserved for people with disabilities (PwD), reduced mobility and the elderly, as well as an exclusive space for wheelchair users.
Aiming to the safety of passengers, all the vehicles are equipped with bellows-type doors of pneumatic actuation, and one emergency system in the emergency doors and windows. To assure comfort, injection-molded and padded seats have been covered with top quality material that enables easy cleaning, also counting on headrests and armrests.
The buses are also provided with LED lighting into the passenger compartment, and in the door cases, thus making boarding easier at night periods. In addition, they are equipped with front electronic itinerary displays, electromechanical turnstiles, reverse gear alarm with night tone attenuator, points for installation for ticket validators, micro cameras and Wi-Fi system.
The vehicles also present some individual specificities in regard to chassis, capacity and internal components.
Apache Vip V chassis MB OF-1721/59
Expresso Nossa Senhora da Penha purchased two units of this model, 13.200 mm long, Mercedes-Benz OF-1721/59 chassis, and total accommodation for 79 passengers, 42 sitting and 36 standing, and one driver.
In addition to the two bellows-type doors pneumatically actuated, one in the front and other in the rear part, buses also count on one mid Sedan type door of manual activation, where the semi-automatic lift is built in.
Apache Vip chassis MB OF-1619/52
The fleet of Viação Apucarana has been equipped with four Apache Vip V bodies, OF-1619/52 chassis, 11.300 mm long, and total capacity for 73 passengers, 30 sitting and 42 standing, one driver.
