CAIO RENEWS FLEET OF ACOMTUS WITH EIGHT FIFTH-GENERATION APACHE VIP MODEL BUSES

2024-09-26 Acomtus - Associação Cooperativa de Transportes Urbanos de Santa Ana, traditional Caio client and a private company in El Salvador, purchased recently eight Caio buses, Apache Vip model, fifth generation. These vehicles will operate in a VIP service in the city of Santa Ana.

All the buses acquired are equipped with air conditioning, an item essential to renew Santa Ana’s fleet, where the maximum daily temperature is within 31ºC. As one of the largest cities of El Salvador, the city is also an important tourism destination, recognized by its rich culture and El Salvador traditions.

Fabien Accariès, export sales representative of Caio, celebrates an additional renewal of Acomtus fleet and forecasts: “We believe that future fleet renewals will continue with Caio bodies, as they meet the operation needs with robustness and quality.”

About Apache Vip V

Apache Vip buses acquired are 11.355m long, with bodies assembled on Mercedes-Benz OF-1418 chassis. With front boarding and engine, the vehicles have capacity for 76 passengers, 44 sitting and 31 standing.

The buses count on injection-molded seats, totally padded, with headrest, providing greater ergonomic comfort during rides. In addition, for more accessible transport, four seats were reserved for people with disabilities (PcD), reduced mobility and the elderly.

Considering the safety of passengers, the units are provided with two bellow-type doors with pneumatic activation, positioned on the front and rear parts of the bus, in addition to be equipped with emergency actuation in the front door.

All the vehicles have been equipped with electronic LED itinerary displays, installed on the front part and right side of each body, contributing to better visibility of the lines. Other onboard technologies are provided in the units, such as reverse gear alarm with night tone attenuator, LED lighting into the passenger compartment and in the door case, above the steps, thus facilitating the access to the bus, in addition to count on preparation for wi-fi system.
