On the International Day of People with Disabilities, Caio Induscar Group reinforces internal programs for this audience

2020-12-03 More than 15 years of social programs developed by Caio Induscar for the benefit of its employees and the community. Acting on 18 fronts, the brand, one of the largest bus manufacturers in the country, also has a specific work for the social inclusion of PwDs (People with Disabilities), which deserves to be remembered today, December 3, International Day of People with Disabilities.
Parts Complement Sector

Implemented in the first four months of 2018, Caio`s Parts Complement Sector was specially structured to receive employees with disabilities. The sector, since its creation, has undergone improvements such as the expansion of the physical structure and activity benches to facilitate mobility, ergonomic studies to optimize working conditions, in addition to ramps and other items installed to provide more accessibility and safety.

PwD employees contribute significantly to the productivity of the manufacturing area, since previously the components manufactured in the Parts Complement Sector were made on the production line.

Currently the sector is able to carry out more than 150 different activities, more than twice the initial 60, among them, assembly of joint forest, USB cables, claw and pipe shoes, window hinge, signs, in addition to cutting and coding cable for chassis preparation, demonstrating the professionalism and commitment of the team.

For Emerson Cristino Zonta, Supervisor of the Parts Complement Sector, the team is a source of pride “After a stroke in 2017, I was reinstated to the company the following year, working in the Parts Complement sector. I later went to another area, but that sector has always been important to me. When I was invited to take over the sector`s supervision at the end of 2019, I felt privileged. I work with a very productive team, which shows its willingness to evolve on a daily basis.”

Caio`s Human Resources director, Maurício Lourenço da Cunha, reinforces the need for more companies to engage in the cause “It is part of our culture to offer opportunities for all, without distinction and to develop social projects that generate benefits for the community. For this reason, we always reinforce that we are open to companies that want to implement actions in favor of qualification and inclusion”.
